Lunch commitment had me arriving at Pevensey Bay at about 4pm - launch into the high tide bumpfest on a 5.7 and Syncro. It was actually very good for fairly onshore conditions. Francis turned up just as we got a half hour lull, but then the wind came back with a vengeance until the rain arrived at 6.30. Nearly had my ears blown out as the Eurofighter stuck his afterburners on right above me and prior to that I had the surreal experience of having a low flying Jumbo pass just behind me
